Applications for 2021 Scholarships are now being accepted by the Sandbox Foundation.

Students may submit applications between January 1st and March 1st of each year.

Roughly thirty applications are received annually, with Romeo High School providing the dominant portion of submissions.  The foundation’s charter promises to grant four scholarships each year, while it typically awards six or more.  Historically, the smallest grant has been a first year $2500 award.

The Sandbox Foundation is unique in that it reserves at least one grant each year as a “Continuing Scholarship”, to be given as a 2^nd, 3^rd or 4^th college year award to a prior first year scholarship recipient of the foundation.

Past recipients have come from Romeo, Dakota, Utica, De Lasalle, and L’anse Creuse North high schools. The foundation focuses primarily on graduating seniors from Macomb County, Michigan.
